Getting started

If you are new to Pilates or recovering from an injury or illness, then  a 1:1 session or 2:1 shared with a friend, relative or partner introducing you to Pilates is recommended before joining a group class.  During the session  we will explain the basic principles of Pilates, go through preliminary exercises, identify which exercises will benefit your body (and which will not) and familiarise you with the equipment. You will also complete a medical questionnaire and have the opportunity to discus any special considerations. Once you have competed your 1:1 session, you should be ready to join a group class and we will help select the best one for your needs and goals.  See a description of our matwork, Reformer and Pilates gym classes. In some instances it may be recommended to not join a group class.

If you have practised Pilates before, feeling confident and ready to go, then  all you need to do is complete an enrolment form on your first visit to the studio. Best to arrive a few minutes early to complete your form. Please note that classes have limited places and you will need to let us know you’re coming and book your class in advance to avoid disappointment. If you have a class at a regular class you would like to join, it is recommended to make a block purchase and reserve you space in advance. Why not take advantage of our  monthly special offers on group classes.
